As part of AISOAR’s new factory upgrade, a 385-meter automatic spray painting line for hydraulic cylinders has been built to improve coating consistency and support higher-volume production.
The new line integrates surface pretreatment, automatic spraying, curing and continuous conveying. Key upgrades include a 48-meter cleaning section, 80%–90% paint transfer efficiency, a 70-meter curing oven, and a production capacity of approximately 1,200 hydraulic cylinders per 8 hours.

Why We Upgraded the Painting Line
For hydraulic cylinders, painting is not only about appearance. Surface cleanliness, paint coverage, coating thickness and curing all affect the consistency and quality of the finished surface. At the same time, higher production volumes require a painting process that can deliver stable results across larger batches.
The new line was therefore developed around two priorities: more consistent coating quality and stronger production capacity. As production capacity expands at AISOAR’s new factory, the painting process also needs to support larger batches while maintaining consistent surface quality across different cylinder sizes and OEM requirements.

Key Upgrades to the New Automatic Spray Painting Line
The new painting line combines longer pretreatment and curing sections, higher paint transfer efficiency, flexible color changes and increased production capacity.
| Upgrade | New Painting Line |
| Total line length | 385 m |
| Cleaning section | 48 m |
| Paint transfer efficiency | 80%–90% |
| Curing oven | 70 m |
| Load per hanging point | 100 kg |
| Công suất | 1,200 cylinders / 8 h |
| Capacity increase | +33% |
| Color change | As fast as 10 min |
A Longer Pretreatment Section for a Cleaner Surface
Good coating starts before the paint is applied. The new line includes a 48-meter cleaning and pretreatment section, with pre-cleaning, pre-degreasing, main degreasing, multiple rinsing stages and silane treatment. The extended cleaning process helps remove oil and other surface residues before spraying, providing a cleaner base for the following coating process.
More Uniform Automatic Spray Painting
The spraying section uses automatic high-speed rotary electrostatic spraying.
Through fine atomization and electrostatic attraction, the paint is distributed more evenly across the cylinder surface. The paint transfer efficiency is approximately 80%–90%, helping improve coating uniformity and the final surface finish.
For grooves, corners, weld areas, cylinder ends and other difficult-to-reach areas, manual touch-up is carried out after automatic spraying to reduce missed areas and locally thin coatings.
Primer + Topcoat for Different Protection Requirements
AISOAR hydraulic cylinders use a primer + topcoat coating system.
For standard hydraulic cylinders, the total coating thickness is approximately 40 μm. For outdoor applications or products requiring higher surface protection, the total coating thickness can reach approximately 60 μm.
A dedicated coating thickness gauge is used after painting to check the actual film thickness.
70-Meter Curing Oven
After spraying, the cylinders move through a 70-meter curing oven.
The longer curing section provides more time and space for a stable curing process, helping improve the consistency and final quality of the coating.
Flexible Color Changes for OEM Production
The new spray painting equipment can support different customer colors without being limited to a fixed number of color options. A typical color change takes approximately 10–20 minutes, while an experienced operator can complete the change in as little as 10 minutes. This gives AISOAR greater flexibility when producing hydraulic cylinders for different OEM brands, product models and market requirements.
Higher Continuous Production Capacity
The complete painting line uses a high-load forged-chain conveyor system, with a load capacity of up to 100 kg per hanging point.
The new line is designed to paint approximately:
1,200 hydraulic cylinders per 8 hours
Compared with the previous painting line, overall production capacity has increased by approximately 33%. This allows AISOAR to support larger production batches while maintaining a more consistent painting process.
What the Upgrade Means for Our Customers
For customers, the new painting line means more consistent coating quality across larger production batches, greater flexibility for OEM colors and product variations, and stronger capacity to support high-volume hydraulic cylinder orders.
By improving both surface finishing and production efficiency, AISOAR can better support OEM customers who require stable quality, flexible customization and reliable volume production.
